Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM)
To be held in Church at 12 noon on Sunday 7 April
This is when you elect Churchwardens and a new PCC for the coming year, as well as hear reports about the past year and have an opportunity to have your say about the activities of the Church.
Please note the date and try to be there.
A new Electoral Roll must be compiled in March this year
Everyone who wants to be on the Roll, including those now on it, must fill in an application form. Church rules require this every six years.
All baptised residents, or regular worshippers, in the Parish, aged 16 or over, are eligible to be on the Roll.
Members of the Roll are entitled to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and are eligible for election to the PCC. The number on the Roll affects our representation at Deanery Synod and is used as a measure of our size within the Diocese and the wider church.
We wish to encourage everyone to play an active part in the life of our church and membership of the Roll is part of this.
Application forms are available at the back of the church and should be returned, before 17 March, by placing them in the box provided or giving them to Fr Stephen or David Sayburn
There is a legal requirement for the new Roll, which shows names and addresses, to be displayed in Church for 14 days and Data Protection rules permit this. Anyone with a reason for not wanting their address to be included on the copy on display should contact the Electoral Roll officer, David Sayburn, who can arrange for their name only to be displayed.
A more detailed statement on Data Protection and the Roll is available on request from David Sayburn, , 01689 829579.
