Priest Alleluia, Christ is risen

Priest The Lord be with you 

All And also with you. 

The priest introduces the liturgy. 


Priest My brothers and sisters, as we prepare to celebrate the presence of Christ in word and Sacrament, let us call to mind and confess our sins. 

All Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we have sinned against you and against our neighbour, in thought, word and deed, through negligence, through weakness, through our own deliberate fault. We are truly sorry and repent of all our sins. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us, forgive us all that is past and grant that we may serve you in newness of life, to the glory of your name. 



Priest Almighty God, who forgives all that truly repent, have mercy on you, pardon and deliver you from all your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness and keep you in life eternal, through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

All Amen 

We all say the Kyrie and Gloria in Excelsis Deo 

Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy. 

Christ, have mercy, Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy. 

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen

The Gospel of the day is read. At the end of the Gospel, the priest says:

The Priest may then give a short homily 


Priest In the power of the Spirit and in union with Christ, let us pray to our heavenly Father. 

The Priest leads the intercessions, at the end of each intention we respond: 

Priest Lord in your mercy 

All Hear our prayer 

Prayers for the departed 

Priest Rest eternal grant unto them O Lord; 

All and let light perpetual shine upon them 

Priest May they rest in peace 

All and rise in glory 

Intercessions continue and conclude with

Priest Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, through your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given, and human hands have made, it will be come for us the bread of life.

Priest Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, through your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human hands it will become our spiritual drink 

All Blessed be God forever 

After a pause the priest says: 

Priest Pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father 

All May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of his name, for our good, and the good of all his Church. 

Priest The Priest says the daily “Prayer over the Offerings” All Amen

Priest The Lord be with you.
All And also with you.
Priest Lift up your hearts.
All We lift them up to the Lord.
Priest Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. All It is right to give him thanks and praise. 

The Preface and Proper Preface follow leading to the Sanctus and Benedictus 

All Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full, are full of your glory. 

Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. 

The Priest continues with the prayer. After the Words of Institution, the priest says 

Priest Great is the mystery of faith 

All Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again. 

The priest then continues with the Eucharistic prayer. At the end we all respond. Amen 


After a pause the priest says: 








Jesus taught us to call God Our Father, so we pray in confidence and in faith: 

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come;
thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Deliver us Lord from every evil and grant us peace in our day, in your mercy keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety, as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

The risen Christ came and stood among his disciples and said, ‘Peace be with you.’ Then were they glad when they saw the Lord. Alleluia.
The peace of the Lord be always with you.
And also with you. 

Let us offer one another a sign of peace. 

All may exchange a sign of peace. 


Priest We break this bread to share in the body of Christ 

All Though we are many, we are one body because we all share in one bread.

Lamb of God you take away the sins of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God you take away the sins of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God you take away the sins of the world: grant us peace. 

The priest invites the people to receive Holy Communion. 

Priest This is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Happy are those who are called to his supper. 

All Lord, I am not worthy to receive you but only say the word and I shall be healed. 

The Communion Antiphon is said, and the priest gives Holy Communion with these words 

The body of Christ. 


The blood of Christ. 



Priest Let us pray. (The Post Communion Prayer of the day is now said) 


Priest The Peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God and of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be amongst you and remain with you always.
